Washington Dulles International Airport

Dulles Airport is located 42 kilometers from the American capital of Washington DC. In 2006, the number of flights increased sharply, especially those belonging to the economic airline Independencia. This airline began a bankruptcy process in 2006, through which there was a decrease in the number of passengers, from 27 million in 2005 to 23 million in 2006.

At present, building expansion works are being carried out at the airport. Once the renovation work is complete, the airport will have two new covered car parks and more runways. The remodeling reaches the AeroTrain passenger transportation system from the main terminals to the different piers. The system will be ready for the year 2009.
